The BHPA Pilot rating does not require any formal flight training at a BHPA recognised school. The required examination can be taken under the supervision of your club coach, so, the information below is for your interest only.
Prerequisites
- Have a CPC rating (tow or hill)
- Be a current Full Flying Member of the BHPA
- A flying log book with the required entries and tasks signed off.
The tasks you will need to complete
- Refer to your BHPA Handbook for details of the tasks you need to have completed for your Pilot Cetificate
- Pass the required examination
Priviledges you will enjoy on obtaining this certificate/rating
- On obtaining your Pilot rating you are permitted to fly cross country and to enter any such flights into the UK National Cross Country League. With a PILOT Rating, you are now able to join in COMPETITIONS.
